Frank Lampard's tenure with New York City FC was brief -- just a season-and-a-half, to be exacty -- but the English veteran, who announced his departure from NYCFC on Monday, did rack up some big moments during his time in the Big Apple.
Here, ranked from 5-1, are the biggest:
5. Finally Frank
Lampard's debut with NYCFC was delayed by a controversial loan to Manchester City, where he finished out the 2014-15 Premier League season (and earned the ire of fans on this side of the Atlantic) before finally joining the MLS side and making his debut against Montreal on July 8, 2015.
4. Account Opened
After the later-than-expected arrival, Lampard took a while to get into the goals column -- but when he did, on Sept. 16, 2015, it was with this nice finish against Toronto FC.
3. One for the Thigh-light Reel
When it came to scoring, Lampard defined "right place, right time" -- and never was that opportunism on clearer display than on July 6, 2016, against New England, when Lampard gave new meaning to "leg it."
2. Quality Drama
Even at 38, Lampard could put on a display of skill on the ball as well as his usual caginess off it. He did so on Sept. 1, 2016 against D.C. United, when after scoring a late go-ahead goal that was canceled out minutes later, Lampard put Jalen Robinson on the floor with a move to his left foot and slotted home a dramatic stoppage-time winner.
1. Hatty History
Lampard does not leave New York with any titles, but he'll always be in the club's history books after recording NYCFC's first hat trick on July 30, 2016, against Colorado.
