Toronto FC are through to the Eastern Conference Semifinals for the first time in club history, thanks to their 3-1 Knockout Round win against the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday night.
The victory by the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference locks in a matchup in the next round against the No. 2 seed in the East, New York City FC. And it's a home-and-home series during which we can probably expect some goals.
In five matches between the two clubs over the past two seasons, a total of 18 goals have been scored. We will see if the fireworks continue on Sunday in the first leg at BMO Field.
