According to FourFourTwo, the Pacific Northwest feud is one of the best derbies in the world.
The magazine ranked the Cascadia rivalry No. 48 on its list of top-50 derbies in the world, just ahead of the Sheffield United-Sheffield Wednesday matchup and one spot behind France's Lyon-St. Etienne rivalry.
The Sounders and Timbers will meet for the first time this year on July 17, when the defending champions host Seattle at Providence Park.
