Columbus Crew SC appear close to adding another winger, with Danish outlet BT reporting on Tuesday that the club is on the verge of signing 24-year-old attacker Emil Larsen to a two-year deal.
Larsen has been with Danish club Odense BK since 2012, scoring 17 goals in 108 league appearances in three-and-a-half years with the club. He began his career in 2009 with Lyngby BK, leading the Danish second division in scoring and helping the club to promotion in the 2009-10 season.
Larsen has five career appearances with the Danish national team. He reportedly ran into controversy on a couple of occasions while with Odense BK, with a failed switch to fellow Danish club Brondby, according to BT.
Crew SC currently have three wingers already on their roster in 2015 MLS Best XI selection Ethan Finlay, Iraqi international Justin Meram and Congolese national teamer Cedrick Mabwati.
