Chris Pontius has spent his entire career with D.C. United, but that is apparently about to change.
Goal.com reported on Tuesdaythat Pontius will be traded to the Philadelphia Union. Per the report, the Union and D.C. United have already agreed to the deal, and Philadelphia are believed to be getting allocation money in return.

If the 28-year-old Pontius does wind up leaving D.C. United, he would say goodbye to his only MLS club. Selected by D.C. with the No. 7 overall selection in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft, the seven-year veteran has compiled 31 goals and 17 assists.
Injuries have slowed him down in recent years, however – Pontius tallied just three goals and one assist in 23 matches this season.
