AMSTERDAM – Shawn Barry worked all but stoppage time to help FSV Frankfurt tentatively climb into the better half of the 2. Bundesliga table with a 3-2 comeback victory over visiting promotion chasers VfL Bochum.

With the hosts down two in the 57th minute, the right winger could have notched a clever assist were it not for a fine save from the Bochum netminder. The FSV bunch were just warming up, though, as they scored three times in the final 22 minutes to snap a three-game win drought.

To the north in Norway's Tippeligaen, Alex DeJohn put on a strong defensive display as IK Start stayed just ahead of Erik Hurtado and Mjondalen in the survival fight with a 1-1 home draw.

The New Jersey native, who kept Hurtado largely quiet during his 77 minutes for the visitors, nearly opened the scoring on three minutes when his bullet header hit the Mjondalen 'keeper without him knowing much about it. DeJohn also cleared a dangerous last-second corner to keep start in the survival playoff spot, one point ahead of their Friday guests.

Finally, second half sub Bjorn Maars Johnsen was robbed of a winner late as Litex Lovech settled for a 0-0 home draw with Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

Having entered just before the hour mark, the striker broke free eight minutes from time only to have his shot cruelly snatched by the away 'keeper. The result dropped Litex two points behind victorious leaders Levski Sofia.
