Orlando City’s first MLS signing will enter the league already an MVP.
Kevin Molino was named USL PRO’s Most Valuable Player on Friday following his record-breaking season for the Lions.
In City’s final USL PRO season before joining MLS next year, Molino set the league’s single-season record for goals (20) in his 27 appearances – surpassing the previous mark set by current Sporting KC forward Dom Dwyer and Jose Angulo by five goals. The 24-year-old Trinidad and Tobago international also recorded a league-leading nine assists and set a league record with 49 points.
Orlando City finished the regular season seven points clear of first place in the league table, claiming their third regular season championship in four seasons.
