In his first full season with the Seattle Sounders, Clint Dempsey is surging again – at just the right time. At 31 years old, he's on the verge of his third World Cup with the US national team, and this time – for the first time in his storied career – he'll lead the Americans onto the biggest stage wearing the captain's armband.
