If it's the Save of the Week, it's probably Donovan Ricketts. The Portland Timbers goalkeeper claimed his 10th weekly honor of the season in Week 33, upping his lead over Real Salt Lake's Nick Rimando (7) and – more importantly – helping the Timbers to a 1-0 win over the rival Seattle Sounders on Sunday night.
Ricketts' award-winning stop came in the 13th minute of Sunday's clash, as he dove to his left to tip a header from Sounders midfielder Lamar Neagle wide of the post. Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen's kick save of a Will Bruin shot finished second, while Colorado Rapids defender Drew Moor finished third despite making two goal-line clearances on one play against San Jose.
It is the second consecutive Save of the Week award for Ricketts, who won last week for a diving stop of a low volley from the Vancouver Whitecaps' Kekuta Manneh.
