Steven Lenhart grabs headlines with his physical style of play more often than not, but that's not why he was in the news this weekend.
Lenhart delivered an impressive two-goal performance on Saturday to hand the San Jose Earthquakes a much-needed 2-1 road victory over Real Salt Lake, a performance that also saw him land the vote as Week 30's MLS Player of the Week. (See how the North American Soccer Reporters voted here.)
The veteran forward, who joins Week 18 winner Alan Gordon as Earthquakes players to claim the award this season, scored both of his goals on headers that came just four minutes apart in the first half of a match that kept San Jose in the hunt for a playoff spot in the tight Western Conference.
