Real Salt Lake's Olmes Garcia earns Player of the Week honors for Week 15 after scoring brace vs. LA Galaxy

Olmes Garcia celebrates a goal

Talk about an impact sub.

Olmes Garcia was that and more for Real Salt Lake this past weekend, coming off the bench to bag a late brace and push the club to a 3-1 victory against the LA Galaxy. Garcia, who entered the match when it was even at 1-1 in the 61st minute, scored the winner in the 84th and then netted again two minutes into stoppage time to ensure all three points for the home side.

The 20-year-old Colombian forward's two-goal performance not only saw RSL knock off their Western Conference foes, but it also earned him the Player of the Week award for Week 15. (See how the North American Soccer Reporters voted here.) Garcia is the first Real Salt Lake player to claim the Player of the Week honors this season and just the second Western Conference player to do so since Week 6.
