It's Monday, but it's already a good week if you're a Houston Dynamo fan.
Not only is the team just one point from the top spot in the Eastern Conference after Sunday's 2-1 win over the Chicago Fire. But there's also a new MLS-record, 35-game unbeaten streak at home to celebrate as well as the Week 7 Player of the Week award for Brad Davis.
The veteran US national team midfielder factored in both of Houston's strikes at BBVA Compass Stadium, including scoring the game-winner with 10 minutes remaining. See how the North American Soccer Reporters voted here.
It's been a memorable early part of the season for Davis, who was called into the USMNT's January camp and made an appearance in the World Cup qualifying draw in Mexico a few weeks ago. The 31-year-old already has two goals and two assists in five league matches this season.
