Has there been any goalkeeper to have a better start to his MLS career than Colorado's Clint Irwin?
Irwin continued his incredible run with the Week 6 Save of the Week award for his penalty kick stop in last weekend's Rocky Mountain Cup rivalry clash against Real Salt Lake.
The 24-year-old third-string 'keeper came on for injured starter Matt Pickens on March 16 and has never looked back, starting each of the Rapids' league matches since. His save on Álvaro Saborío's penalty kick attempt helped him earn his first career shutout in a 1-0 Rapids victory.
The Save of the Week award will be especially sweet for Irwin, who edged out Rocky Mountain Cup counterpart Nick Rimando in the voting.
