Bill Hamid's made a habit of unveiling spectacular saves, and can add another to his highlight reel after pulling off a miraculous stop against the Houston Dynamo.
Hamid made a point-blank save to deny Giles Barnes' potent shot in D.C. United's 2-0 loss to the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, earning the young goalkeeper Week 1's Save of the Week honors in a tight race.
Hamid earned 25 percent of the votes, just point more than Columbus Crew netminder Andy Gruenebaum and two ahead of San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper Jon Busch. Luis Robles of the New York Red Bulls rounded out the tight top four with 21 percent.
