It would’ve been shocking if Kei Kamara’s spectacular flying scissors-kick goal in Sporting KC’s 4-2 win over Toronto had not won the AT&T Goal of the Week for Week 19.
But the shock didn’t come. On Friday, Kamara’s acrobatic strike became the first Sporting goal this season to win the weekly award, winning 43% of the vote via the internet poll and text voting.
Thierry Henry’s tricky, late equalizer in New York’s 2-2 draw with FC Dallas came in second place, garnering 27% of the vote.
