Seattle Sounders defender Tyson Wahl had to wait six years for his first professional goal, but he sure made it mattered.
The 27-year-old's free kick against the New England Revolution last weekend was the overwhelming fan favorite in the Week 15 AT&T Goal of the Week voting, winning 43 percent of the ballot. His left-footed set piece, which curled around the New England wall and into the far left corner, evened up the score in the 34th minute last Sunday and gave Wahl his first goal in 58 career matches.
Wahl's goal outpaced Danny Mwanga's long-distance strike against Chivas USA, as a Seattle player won the award for the second week running.
Final Results:
1. Tyson Wahl (SEA), 43%
2. Danny Mwanga (PHI), 23%
