Steve Zakuani has tallied 10 goals for the Seattle Sounders this season. His 10th, against Chivas USA last Friday, earned the Sounders their third straight AT&T Goal of the Week and Zakuani's second such honor this season.
Defender Jeff Parke stepped up to challenge for a loose ball in the Goats' third of the field, and played a one touch pass to Zakuani. That was all the winger would need. Bursting through a crowd of four Chivas USA players trying to win the ball back, Zakuani took one touch past 'keeper Zach Thornton and calmly slotted home the opener for the Sounders, who went on to win 2-1.
Zakuani took 57 percent of the vote, beating out Columbus Crew 'keeper William Hesmer's injury-time equalizer against Toronto FC. Hesmer took 24 percent of the vote.
