Fredy Montero’s magical run of form continues to rack up the accolades. The Player of the Month in July added the AT&T Goal of the Week for Week 19 to his resume.
Montero's winning goal, which garnered 52.87 percent of the votes, came in the Seattle Sounders’ 2-0 win over the Houston Dynamo. Midway through the second half, the Colombian spun defender Eddie Robinson and struck a dipping shot past goalkeeper Tally Hall.
Columbus Crew striker Steven Lenhart’s diving header to beat Philadelphia came in second, with 41.94 percent of the vote.
This is Montero's second Goal of the Week. His strike in Week 5 also won.
