Kevin Hartman asserted his claim to be FC Dallas’ regular starting goalkeeper last week, posting two shutouts. Now he has added to his claim by winning the NAPA Save of the Week for Week 7.
Hartman won with 45% of the votes for his double save on D.C. United’s Adam Cristman and Danny Allsopp. He beat out United rookie keeper Bill Hamid, who had two saves nominated. In total, Hamid roughly equaled Hartman’s votes, but his separate nominees finished with 25% and 20%.
New England Revolution defender Cory Gibbs earned 8% of the votes, and his teammate Preston Burpo’s save against Columbus finished with 2%.
