Shola Ameobi

Shola Ameobi is a veteran striker who has been playing with Newcastle since 1995, making his professional debut in 2000. He made his debut with the Super Eagles in 2012.

NIGERIAN NATIONAL TEAM

Ameobi played for England's Under-21 team before making the switch to Nigeria in 2011. He made six appearances during World Cup qualifying with five of those coming as a substitute.

CLUB CAREER

Ameobi has scored 53 Premier League goals over his many years with Newcastle United, however only five of those have come in the last three seasons.
