He appeared for Argentina three times during the 2010 World Cup but his 2014 showing was greatly marred by injuries, and he missed the final. 

CLUB CAREER

Aguero started his career with Independiente in Argentina before moving on to Atletico Madrid in Spain. He spent five seasons with the club, scoring 74 La Liga goals. He scored 17 goals in just 23 appearances in 2013-14, helping Man City collect their second league title in three years. Aguero had another strong season for City, netting his one hundredth goal in the Premier League in just 147 appearances.
