Sardar Azmoun is probably the biggest talent in Iranian football in many years. He has amazing scoring stats on youth level and went to Rubin Kazan last year. Established himself as a fixed player now in the second half of the season, has scored three league goals and one Europa League goal this season and also created a few. Linked with Arsenal and AC Milan. Strangely dubbed as the “Iranian Messi” by some, his playing style doesn’t resemble the Argentinian superstar’s at all. He is taller and less of a dribbler, but more a good distributor of the ball and has a nose for positioning himself well in the box.
