Season Ending InjuryJiba was selected 19th overall with MNUFC’s first round pick in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft. Jiba played collegiate soccer at Salt Lake Community College. He scored 25 goals and tallied 20 assists from 2019-2021, leading his team to an NJCAA National Championship in 2021. Jiba was named the 2019 NJCAA Region 18 Player of the Year, earning USYS Best XI honors in the same year. Following his collegiate career, Jiba briefly played for USL League Two side, Park City Red Wolves, making one appearance and scoring one goal. Loons fans may be familiar with Jiba as he joins the squad from Union Omaha – the Loons 2022 U.S. Open Cup opponent – in USL League One. After signing with Omaha in February of 2022, he made 28 appearances, notching three assists in that span.
