FC Dallas sign SuperDraft picks Ryan Herman, Timo Pitter
FC Dallas signed 2016 SuperDraft picks goalkeeper Ryan Herman and midfielder Timo Pitter, the club announced on Monday.
Option declined by FC Dallas following the 2016 season.
A tall, commanding goalkeeper from the Seattle Sounders' youth system, Herman was the understudy to current MLSer Spencer Richey for much of his NCAA career at Washington, but performed well in his two years as a starter, earning First Team All-Pac-12 honors, leading the conference with 85 saves and a 0.63 goals against average and finishing third in the nation with a save percentage of 87.6 in 2015. Spent his freshman year at Santa Clara before transferring to his home state; played on the Sounders' U-23 squad during college. Rated by many as the best GK in the 2016 draft class.
INTERNATIONAL: Played for the US U-18 national team on an international tour in 2010.
