2023 (Seattle): Baker-Whiting appeared in 21 matches (eight starts) for Seattle in all competitions in 2023. He tallied his first career assist for Sounders FC against FC Dallas on September 17. He won 91 duels at a 54-percent rate while mostly playing as a fullback. Baker-Whiting started both of Sounders FC’s Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches, in addition to all eight of his appearances for Tacoma Defiance in MLS NEXT Pro play, scoring two goals and adding one assist.
2022 (Seattle): Baker-Whiting appeared in two matches for Seattle in 2022. His lone start came in a 2-0 win over Toronto FC on July 2. The Seattle native also appeared in 16 matches for Tacoma Defiance (13 starts) in 2022.
2021 (Seattle): Baker-Whiting signed with the First Team as a Homegrown Player on May 12. The 16-year-old Sounders Academy product made his MLS debut four days later on May 16 as a late-game substitute in a 2-0 win over LAFC (May 20). Baker-Whiting made his first MLS start in the club’s historic 1-0 victory over Austin FC on the road, in which Seattle started five teenagers. He finished the season with four appearances, two starts and 201 minutes played.
2020 (Defiance): Baker-Whiting appeared in seven matches for the Tacoma Defiance, making three starts and amassing 264 minutes.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
Baker-Whiting has featured for the U.S. Men’s U-15 Youth National Team.
YOUTH EXPERIENCE
Joined the club via the Sounders Discovery Program from Seattle United in 2016. Baker-Whiting was on Sounders FC’s U-12 squad in 2017 that won the Youdan Trophy after defeating Manchester United and Crystal Palace, as well as Liverpool at the ICC Future’s tournament. He returned to the Youdan Trophy as a member of Sounders FC U-14 team in 2018, that defeated Charlton Athletic, 5-2. He also featured for the U-17 squad that won the 2019 Generation adidas Cup Champions Division, defeating Valencia CF in the final.
