Overview
Romero joined Chivas USA on loan from Vista Hermosa of the Salvadorian First Division on February 1, 2010. With Vista Hermosa, the midfielder scored nine goals in 2009 and five goals in the 2008 season. Born on April 18, 1986, Romero made his professional debut with Atlético Chaparratique in 2006. A regular with the El Salvador National Team, Romero has 37 appearances with the national team and eight goals.

Romero joined Atlético Chaparratique of El Salvador’s Second Division side in 2006. He later joined Vista Hermosa in the First Division where he notched 14 goals in two seasons. An attacking midfielder, Romero is both a playmaker and a scorer, and has played a critical role for Vista Hermosa for the last two seasons in El Salvador.

Romero has made 37 appearances for his country, and has scored eight goals from an attacking midfield position, including several of the team’s most important goals in 2009. Five of his goals have also been scored in the Los Angeles area; one in a Feb. 6, 2009 friendly against Peru at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, two in a 3-1 friendly victory over Ecuador on May 27, 2009, also at the Coliseum, and two in the 2-1 Gold Cup win over Costa Rica on July 3, 2009.
