Career Summary

Option declined following 2016 season.

Justin Mapp comes to Kansas City as the first ever free agent signing in MLS history. He has won a supporters shield, two U.S. Open Cup's, and two Canadian Championships, where he was the MVP both times. He was named to an MLS Best XI in 2006 and to the All-Star team in 2005. He has played 20,000 minutes in MLS, and is looking to bounce back strongly in a new environment following a nasty elbow injury that ended his 2015 Montreal season.

INTERNATIONAL: Mapp made eight appearances for the U.S. National Team in his career, earning his first cap on October 12, 2005 against Panama. He played in all three games for the U.S. in the 2007 Copa America, starting against Lionel Messi and Argentina as well as Colombia and coming on as a substitute against Paraguay.
