DefenderNew Jersey native Jonathan Borrajo comes to the Red Bulls from Hamarkameratene of Norway. Originally starting with the team in the Norway’s second division, Borrajo played every game of his first season since his Aug. 2010 debut and helped his club earn promotion to the first division. Overall, the full back made 36 appearances for Hamarkameratene.
Prior to joining Hamarkameratene, Borrajo featured for the Real Maryland Monarchs of the USL Second Division in 2009, serving as team captain and being the only player to feature in every minute of each match. He earned a spot on the USL Second Division All-League First Team for his efforts.
Borrajo attended George Mason University, being named to the All-CAA Second Team and CAA All-Tournament Team. During his four-year career at GMU, Borrajo featured in 77 games, recording two goals and four assists. The 24-year-old was a standout at Clifton High School, being named Team MVP and Best Defender while earning spots on the All-State and All-County teams. He has also featured in the Red Bulls Academy’s Under-20 squad.
