2008: Started in 27 of 28 games played…lead the team in games and minutes played (2,462 minutes)…finished the season with 1 goal and 3 assists…scored lone goal 08/30/08 at Chivas USA…named to 18 man roster for the 2008 MLS All-Star game held in Toronto on 07/15/08, came on as a substitute in the 59th minute for Christian Gomez...Nutrilite Championship: Assisted on Rohan Ricketts goal on 7/22/08 against Montreal at BMO Field.

2007: Started in 27 of 27 games played - the most of any TFC player in the '07 season and finished first in minutes logging 2430 minutes…..captained TFC in first ever game at Chivas April 7, 2007…..scored first career MLS goal 5/26 @ Columbus Crew that strike giving him the "Sierra Mist Goal of the Week" for Week 8 and helped earn the team their first point on the road….the same strike was nominated as a top ten finalist for "Sierra Mist Goal of the Year"….was named to the 2007 MLS All-Star inactive roster on 7/18…at completion of season was named TFC's co-MVP along with Carl Robinson, and also the Defender of the Year.

2006: Joined Southampton of the English Premier League….making 14 appearances…2003-06: Joined Norwich City (League Championship) on a free Bosman transfer in 2003…his first season there he scored twice in 9 games…made 48 appearances overall, much of time there he battled through an abductor muscle injury that hampered his progress.

1999-2003: Joined Nottingham Forest making 146 appearances over four seasons…made his debut for the club October 30, 1999 vs. Barnsley…his transfer fee from Bristol City to Forest was the largest transfer fee paid for a Canadian player at 1.25 million pounds…was loaned out briefly to Huddersfield Town in 2000-01…1996-99: Joined Bristol City (England 2nd Division) made 64 appearances scoring 3 goals…International: A holder of 44 International Caps, he made his debut for the Canadian National Team on April 27th, 1999 versus Northern Ireland in a friendly….he scored his first goal for the National Team against Jamaica on September 2, 1999, and has 6 goals in total…was a member of Canada's Olympic (U-23) team in 2000….played in all 5 of Canada's games at the 2000 and 2002 Gold Cup…played 90 min in friendly versus Costa Rica in Toronto on September 12, 2007.

Personal: Son of Stella and Jim and has two brothers Michael and Ryan…is married to wife Jenn, and has a son Phoenix…favourite Reality TV show is "The Bachelor"…lists Scottish and Irish as the other languages he speaks…if he wasn't a soccer player he'd be a professional hockey player (for the Toronto Maple Leafs)…the best meal Jim cooks is "a nice curry"…his favourite MLS cities to visit are New York and D.C…likes to vacation in Belize…and enjoys the music of AC/DC and Lynyrd Skynyrd…says the player(s) he'd most like to face in game is Robbo (Carl Robinson) and Toronto FC Kitman Malcolm Phillips.
