Javad Nekounam

Javad Nekounam is the brain of the team and is absolutely irreplaceable. He is more a passive destroyer, not defending very physically but more by clever positioning. He controls the build up with his excellent short and long passes. Was rather quiet when young but has become more and more vocal and is now the captain and the leader of the team. He is very strong in the air and a good shooter. Nekounam is very experienced with 136 national team caps and 149 Primera Division games in his six years with Osasuna before returning to the Persian Gulf.
