Greg Jordan

The Union selected midfielder Greg Jordan with the 32nd overall pick in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft on January 12, 2012.

Jordan was named to the NSCAA All-American Second Team in 2011 as a senior, as well as the All-Missouri Valley Conference First Team as both a junior and senior. He helped Creighton secure 19 shutouts in 2011, adding three goals and three assists. In his four-year college career, Jordan scored seven goals and added eight assists. Jordan attended a U.S. U-17 national team camp in 2006.

2012: Selected by Philadelphia Union in the second round of the 2012 MLS Super Draft with the 32nd overall pick. Was sent on loan to the Harrisburg City Islanders where he appeared in eight games as a defender.

2011: Started in all 23 matches in which he appeared for Creighton Bluejays… Scored three goals and tallied three assists for nine points for the second consecutive year… Anchored a Creighton defense that recorded 19 shutouts and a record 0.20 goals allowed per game average… NSCAA Second-Team All-American selection… Named to the NSCAA First-Team All-Midwest Region… First-Team All-Missouri Valley Conference member… Helped lead the Jays to a 21-2-1 record for the year, earning the team a number two overall seed in the NCAA tournament.

2010: Started in all 19 matches in which he participated… Scored three goals and added three assists for nine points... Vital part of a Creighton defense that posted eight shutouts on the year… Named to the Missouri Valley Conference First-Team… Named to NSCAA All-Midwest Region Second-Team… Named to The Hotels at Grand Prairie Classic All-Tournament Team.

2009: Suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament on Sept. 5, forcing him to miss the remainder of the season... Awarded a medical redshirt for the season.

2008: Started 16 of the 18 matches in which he appeared… Scored two goals and recorded one assist for four points on the season … A mainstay in a defense that recorded second-best 0.68 goals against average… Named to the MVC All-Freshman Team … Led all true freshmen on team with 1,533 minutes played.

High School/Club: Member of the Illinois Olympic Development Program… Played club soccer for Sockers FC… Illinois ODP squad won a national championship

Personal: Came to Creighton early, in the spring semester of 2008, to get a jump on his education… Graduated early with a degree in marketing.
