Fullback who can play either right or left back although he has mainly featured on the right.

JAPANESE NATIONAL TEAM

The former Japanese youth national teamer was bypassed for the 2010 World Cup, but still made the trip to South Africa with the team. Featured for the Japanese Olympic team which advanced to the medal round in 2012 and made his senior national team debut in September 2012.

CLUB CAREER

Started with Japanese side Albirex Niigata (2008). He was loaned out to Bundesliga side Stuttgart in January 2012 and the club acquired him permanently in January 2013.
