Ezra Armstrong

Ezra Armstrong joins St. Louis CITY2 as a defender with several years of professional playing experience, most recently playing in the United Soccer League (USL) with Pittsburgh Riverhounds. E. Armstrong will play alongside his brother Dida, a forward for the team.

Born in Gastonia, N.C., Armstrong moved to Nashville, Tenn. to play for Sporting Nashville Heroes – a Sporting KC Academy affiliate – and went on to play at Sporting KC Academy at the start of the 2014-15 season. In 2016, he signed to Sporting KC’s USL affiliate side Swope Park Rangers, making his professional debut. E. Armstrong had several stints internationally, with German 6th-tier side Türkspor Augsburg and Danish sports club Skovshoved IF, before returning stateside in 2021.
