Acquired from the New York Red Bulls on Jan. XX, 2009 in exchange for Dominic Oduro and the 18th overall selection in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft. The teams also swapped first round picks in the SuperDraft, with Dallas moving to the 14th overall selection and New York receiving the 11th pick.

2008: Scored a career-high seven goals and added five assists in 26 games for the New York Red Bulls, finishing second on the team in both categories…Propelled New York to its first-ever MLS Cup appearance after scoring the game-winner in the Western Conference Final win over Real Salt Lake on Nov. 16, 2008.
2007: Played in 29 games, starting 26. Was very steady in a number of different positions including left back, chipping in with two goals and a team-high eight assists.
2006:: Acquired by the Kansas City Wizards on June 2, 2006 from Dutch Eredivisie club FC Utrecht, van den Bergh scored three goals and two assists in 13 MLS games.
2005/06: In his sixth and final season with FC Utrecht he appeared in 30 matches, starting 26, He scored five goals, including one game-winner and two game-tying tallies, in leading Utrecht to a sixth place finish in league play. He ended his career for the Dutch Eredivisie side with 30 goals in his six seasons at Utrecht, scoring 28 in Eredivisie play and two in UEFA Cup competition. In his six seasons he appeared in a total of 184 matches for FC Utrecht.
2004/05: Made his debut for Holland's National Team in an international friendly, making a total of two starts for the Orange on the year. Tied a career-high with six goals on the season, including one in UEFA Cup play. Two of his goals went down as game-winners and one other was a game-tying goal. Helped Utrecht qualify for a fifth straight UEFA Cup.
2003/04: Scored the game-winning goal against FC Twente to claim the Amstel Cup, Holland's national open knockout-format tournament. Appeared in 34 total matches for Utrecht, including four in UEFA Cup competition. Finished the season with a pair of goals.
2002/03: Appeared in a total of 33 matches for FC Utrecht, two in UEFA Cup play, and netted a total of five goals, including two game-winners and one game-tying goal.
2001/02: Started 23 of a total of 27 games in which he appeared, scoring a career-high six goals on the season. Made his UEFA Cup debut, netting his first cup goal in his lone cup appearance. 2000/01: In his first season with FC Utrecht, he helped them qualify for their first UEFA Cup in ten years, appearing in 30 matches. Scored 6 goals in his first year at Utrecht, all in Eredivisie play to set a career-high in goals scored in league play. Help Utrecht to a fifth place finish in the Eredivisie, its highest ever during his tenure.
1999/00: In what was his third and final season at Rayo Vallecano, van den Bergh appeared in nine matches in helping them hold down the top spot in Spain's First Division for a number of weeks. Helped Rayo qualify for the UEFA Cup. He was held scoreless for just the second time in his career.
1998/99: Appeared in 16 matches for Rayo, scoring two goals on the season in Primera Division play.
1997/98: Helped Rayo get promoted into Spain's Primera Division in his first year with the club. Scored four goals in 22 matches played for Rayo.
1996/97: Helped Ajax of Holland's Eredivisie reach the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League, appearing in nine matches in his final season with the club. Scored his first professional goal against Vitesse, his only goal of the season. 1995/96: Made his professional debut at the age of 19 for famed Dutch Eredivisie club Ajax. Helped Ajax reach the UEFA Champions League championship match in his first professional season.
