Before departing TFC, Perquis was an established member of the TFC backline. He made 24 starts in his first season in the league in 2015, helping Toronto to their first playoff birth in franchise history. An experienced defender in European leagues and on the international stage, Perquis departed the club in the 2016 summer window after logging 12 league appearances in the 2016 regular season.
BEFORE MLS: Perquis was in his third season with Real Betis of Spain’s Segunda Division before signing for Toronto FC in Jan. 2015. In three seasons, he made a combined 47 appearances and scored two goals. Perquis began his youth career at Troyes in France, signed for the club and made a combined 62 appearances, scoring three goals. Perquis then signed with Saint-Étienne in Ligue 1 and remained with the club for two seasons. He was loaned to French club Sochaux for the 2007-08 season and was transferred at the end of that season. Perquis remained with Sochaux for four campaigns, making a combined 161 appearances and scoring 11 goals. Perquis signed for Real Betis ahead of the 2012-13 season.
INTERNATIONAL: Perquis is a Poland international with 13 caps and 1 goal. He made his debut for Poland on Sept. 6, 2011, in a friendly against Germany. He scored the lone goal in 1-0 victory over Slovakia in friendly on May 26, 2012. Perquis played all 270 minutes for Poland when they co-hosted Euro 2012, but failed to advance out of the group stage.
