A Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy graduate, Salcedo surprised observers around MLS with his solid play in 2013, coming from seemingly nowhere to step in and perform very well in 13 league games, 12 of which were starts. Having only turned 20 last September, Salcedo – who trained with the RSL first-team for the second half of 2012 before being officially added to the roster in January 2013 – has a bright future ahead of him and could see more time for the Claret-and-Cobalt in the 2014 season
