CURRENT CLUB: Sporting Covilha (Portugal)

Alireza Haghighi was Iran’s first goalkeeper to transfer to Europe when he was signed by Rubin Kazan a couple of years ago, but was only the third choice there and never played a competitive game. He went to the Portuguese second league this winter to keep his World Cup chances intact and currently is the starter at Sporting Covilha.
