A technically gifted and versatile midfield player, Quintero showed his ability to play multiple positions in the first two weeks of the 2016 MLS season.

OUTSIDE MLS: Quintero, 28, most recently played for Lobos BUAP in Ascenso MX in Mexico. Over his career, Quintero has played in the top leagues in Panama, Colombia and Bolivia, as well as for clubs in Spain and Mexico.

INTERNATIONAL: Quintero has been a regular on the Panama National Team since making his senior team debut in 2007, playing alongside Earthquakes midfielder Anibal Godoy. He has earned more than 60 caps, including appearances at each of the past three CONCACAF Gold Cups, tallying five goals. At the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup, Quintero started all six of Panama's matches, including the victory over the United States in the third-place game, scoring one goal. Prior to his time with the senior team, Quintero also represented Panama's U-20s and U-23s, appearing at the 2007 U-20 FIFA World Cup in Canada.
