Jara, 23, joined FC Dallas as a trialist in January after accepting an invitation from FC Dallas assistant coach Josema Bazan. The defender saw 170 minutes of action in back-to-back preseason wins against New England (Feb. 4) and Grand Canyon University (Feb. 6) during FC Dallas’ week-long stay in Casa Grande, Arizona. Near the end of preseason, Jara logged another 135 minutes in the Red and Blue Classic intrasquad scrimmage on Feb. 24 and a 2-1 win for FC Dallas against its USL affiliate Oklahoma City Energy FC on Feb. 27.
