Career Summary

Jorginho is a 21 year old midfielder who has played in the HVFC youth teams since the age of fourteen (14) in 2008, initially as a striker. He scored heavily and regularly to lead the teams to KSAFA honours and lifting the championship trophies.

He played at Papine All Age School before his high school years in ISSA schoolboy football at Kingston College in the Under 14 and Colts Under 16 as a striker and also midfielder. He was so versatile his Manning Cup (Under 19) Coach, played him in a sweeper position at age 16 because of his aerial prowess and the ability to read the game, pass and possess the ball to initiate attacks from the back. He switched schools and went to Wolmer’s Boys School, with his HVFC Coach, Ludlow Bernard now playing in an attacking midfield role, where they won the Walker cup Knockout title twice.

He made his senior Reggae Boyz international debut for Jamaica in 2012 at 17 years old as a 82nd minute substitute in a friendly match against Cuba, scoring five minutes later to win the game 1-0 at the National Stadium under coach, Theodore Whitmore. He has 3 caps.

The KSAFA Under 20 Competition was his next conquest in 2013, while debuting at the Premier League.

The year after,Jorginho made his Under-20 Reggae Boyz debut in the Caribbean qualification round for the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup. Besides Harbour View in Jamaica, he has also played in leagues in the USA (Reading United FC), Japan (Shimizu S-Pulse, J-League), and Antigua, (Grenades FC). He went on trial at PS Kemi, a Premier League club in Finland earlier this year in February to March.

His second full season in the Jamaican 2015-16 Premier League he has scored three (3) goals from fourteen (14) games, while assisting twice, playing 1013 minutes.
