Option declined following 2018 season
Whatever Lyon lacks in prototypical goalkeeper height, he more than makes up for in purity of instinct. Lyon made his mark at Marquette as one of the quickest keepers in the country to both posts. It became almost impossible to sneak a shot inside either post when Lyon was locked in. Even then, Lyon’s 6-foot-2 frame is more than adequate to allow the lightning-quick keeper full frame coverage, and he’s always been adept at organization and back line leadership.
COLLEGE: Lyon was a standout performer for four years at Marquette, where he honed his skills as a first choice keeper for four years. He finished his career with the Golden Eagles in 2014 after 63 appearances and 29 clean sheets, an astounding ratio of 46 percent.
