HOW ACQUIRED: Signed on January 27, 2015.

2014: Appeared in 10 games for Chivas USA and started eight. He produced one assist in a year disrupted by an injury.

2013: Started 22 matches and played 26 in his second season with Portland Timbers. Scored one goal and one assist to help the Timbers make the MLS Cup Playoffs. Playoffs: Did not play in Western Conference Semifinals or Finals. Acquired by Chivas USA in December.

2012: Selected No. 8 overall in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft by Portland Timbers and made four starts in five matches of his rookie season. Was ranked No. 16 in MLSsoccer.com’s “24 Under 24” prospect list.

College: Played two years for the University of Connecticut. As a Freshman in 2010, he was awarded Soccer America First Team Freshman All-American honors, in addition to being a College Soccer News Second Team All-Freshman. In his Sophomore season, he led a defense that set a Connecticut record with 16 shutouts on the season. He was awarded Soccer America MVP Second Team, named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year and was NSCAA Northeast Region First Team Selection. Following his second season at UCONN, he entered the 2012 MLS SuperDraft.

International: Began his international career in the Lisbon International Tournament with the U.S. U-18 National Team and was a member of the U-20 National Pool in 2010.
