Chris Wondolowski scores against everybody — literally.
The San Jose striker hit a major milestone Sunday night, with his strike in the Earthquakes’ 1-1 draw at the Houston Dynamo giving him regular-season goals against all 21 MLS teams he’s played against in his career.
Wondolowski — who began his career with San Jose in 2005, moved to Houston with the club in 2006 and returned to the Bay Area with the reborn Earthquakes in 2009 — has recorded 10 goals against Vancouver, Colorado and defunct Chivas USA, his highest total against any one team.
He’s only made one career regular-season appearance against San Jose, Orlando and New York City FC, but managed to record a goal in his lone match against each of those clubs.
The only MLS teams Wondolowski has not scored against are the Tampa Bay Mutiny and Miami Fusion, both of which were contracted prior to his rookie season.
New England Revolution forward Kei Kamara is the only other player in MLS history to score against 21 teams.
Wondolowski has nine goals and two assists in 17 regular season games this year. The 33-year-old forward — who has scored at least 11 regular-season goals in each of the last six seasons — is fourth in MLS history with 118 regular-season goals, 15 behind Jaime Moreno for third and 26 behind all-time leader Landon Donovan.
His full numbers against each MLS team he’s played against are below:
