Midfielders Weston McKennie and Luca de la Torre have departed the US national team training camp, U.S. Soccer announced on Sunday, reducing the roster to 24 players ahead of Tuesday's friendly against Italy.
McKennie was diagnosed with a left hamstring injury after starting in Thursday's 3-0 defeat to England at Wembley Stadium. The 20-year-old was replaced by LA Galaxy midfielder Sebastian Lletget in the 76th minute of the match. He will return to his club, Schalke, for rehab.
De la Torre, also 20, remained in London to rejoin training with Fulham.
The US are preparing to take on Italy in Genk, Belgium on Tuesday, Nov. 20 for their final fixture of the year. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:45 pm ET.
