Saturday's match between the Houston Dynamo and San Jose Earthquakes resumed at 5:22 pm ET with the beginning of the second half, after a delay of 1 hour and 11 minutes due to lightning in the vicinity of BBVA Compass Stadium.
After playing to a scoreless draw in the first half, the teams returned to the field following halftime, only to be sent off the pitch again before the opening whistle of the second half blue.
The teams combined for three goals in the second half with the Dynamo coming out on top 2-1.
