Veteran Sports Communications Executive Sarah Jamieson Named Director of Communications for MLS NEXT Pro

NEW YORK (Monday, March 7, 2022) – MLS NEXT Pro today announced veteran sports communications executive Sarah Jamieson as the league’s Director of Communications. In her role, Jamieson will oversee strategic communications for MLS NEXT Pro, including sports information, corporate communications, and publicity initiatives. While working closely with all members of the organization, Jamieson will report to MLS NEXT Pro President, Charles Altchek.

Jamieson brings more than 15 years of communications experience in professional sports- the last 13 years with the Cleveland Cavaliers organization. There she served as Director of Communications Integration for the NBA team, after leading PR efforts for the organization’s American Hockey League team.

Before her time in Cleveland, Jamieson worked at Madison Square Garden, where she spent two years with the New York Liberty of the WNBA.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Jamieson graduated cum laude from Ohio University with a degree in Sports Industry. She will relocate from Cleveland to New York City for her new role.
