A vital match in the Western Conference establishment kicks off Saturday evening when Vancouver Whitecaps FC play host to FC Dallas at BC Place. Both teams are firmly established in the top six and the playoff placings in the division. Whitecaps FC are still in second place in the West, a point out of first, after their three-game winning run was put to an end in a dramatic 4-3 loss at Sporting Kansas City last weekend. FC Dallas lost their second game on the trot, still just four points back of Whitecaps FC in fifth place, following a 2-1 loss to the LA Galaxy at Toyota Stadium.
