The Vancouver Whitecaps announced on Monday that they’ve signed first-round Super Draft selection Cole Seiler to an MLS contract.
The 22-year-old center back was the 16th overall selection in last month’s draft. Seiler turned pro after four years at Georgetown University, where he captained the Hoyas to their first-ever Big East Tournament championship in 2015. He's played in both of Vancouver's matches so far this preseason.
