Hallway soccer may become mandatory at Barclays Center now that Steve Nash has been named the new Brooklyn Nets coach.
The announcement came down Thursday morning that Nash, the legendary NBA point guard and co-owner of the Vancouver Whitecaps, has become the 23rd coach in the franchise’s history.
Nash is no stranger to the area, hosting an annual Showdown in Chinatown charity soccer game featuring NBA and soccer stars and also regularly showing up for pickup games around the city.
Perhaps Nash will display some of these skills to Kevin Durant, part of the Philadelphia Union ownership group, and Kyrie Irving next season
