USMNT manager Bruce Arena confident he could "coach anywhere" in the world

Bruce Arena - US national team - USMNT

Bruce Arena's coaching resume may be littered with achievements and championships, but it is comprised entirely of stops in the United States.

Still, Arena is confident he has what it takes to succeed in any league or on any national team in the world.

Arena is the most successful coach in MLS history, and has taken the US national team the deepest it has gone in a World Cup in the modern era with a quarterfinals finish in 2002. The 65-year-old manager has, however, never coached outside of the United States, but believes he could do a good job abroad.

"I think I can coach anywhere," Arena told Goal.com. "I think every situation you go into takes a little bit of time, and you’ve got to get adjusted to it. But I’ve met the top coaches in the world — you can do it.

"Every situation is different. When you look at [fellow American] Bob Bradley at Swansea, that might have been a no-win situation, and probably due to ownership more than anything. He was kind of set up, in some ways, to fail."

Arena – who is currently in his second stint with the US national team -- talks about a range of other topics in the Goal.com piece, including why his decision to join the New York Red Bulls was a poor one and what he learned from his initial exit from the international game in 2006. You can give the full story a read here.

Arena is currently attempting to help lead the US to a 2018 World Cup berth. The Americans continue their qualifying campaign on Thursday night with a home game against Trinidad & Tobago (8 pm ET | FS1, UniMás).
